and one of following violin concertos:
Johannes Brahms - Violin concerto D-major, 1^st mvt without cadenza
Ludwig van Beethoven - Violin concerto D-major, 1^st mvt without cadenza
Felix Mendelssohn - Violin concerto e-minor, 1^st mvt without cadenza
Jean Sibelius - Violin concerto d-minor, 1^st mvt without cadenza
Peter Tchaikovsky - Violin concerto D-major, 1^st mvt without cadenza

Orchestral excerpts will be included. Ensemble playing may be included.

Audition dates:  Principal 2^nd violin and sub-principal 1^st violin: Aug 17^th 2021 and possibly Aug 18^th 2021 (reserve day).
Tutti violin Aug 19^th 2021 and possibly Aug 20^th 2021 (reserve day)

We offer varied work as a musician in Wermland Opera’s Orchestra, which, with its 34 full-time employed members offers both orchestral concerts and opera/musical productions.  Every year the orchestra performs its own ’stora konsertserien’ or main series of 7-8 concerts at the Karlstad CCC concert hall.  The 2021/2022 season will feature a diverse program, conducted mostly by our chief conductor Johannes Gustavsson, with guest appearances by leading conductors and soloists.  The musicians of Wermland Opera’s Orchestra also frequently have the opportunity to perform chamber music in a variety of constellations, displaying breadth in their ability to alternate between genres with ease.
